After stamping our kraft bags by hand since 2017, we're excited to announce that we've finally transitioned to new packaging.

big reveal!

Our old packaging

While we'll miss our days of the handcrafted bags, it wasn't the most practical for us. As we're now starting to work with more retail locations, we found our product getting lost on the shelves (pictured below at Whole Foods), with customers telling us it was hard to distinguish between the flavors. Even more than that, our poor little kraft bags were getting warped and damaged in transit! So delicate they are :(

We chose our color palette carefully, knowing that we wanted muted, earthy tones to communicate the quality of our product and the ingredients that we meticulously source.

We also tried to maintain the humble and charming feel of our bags by incorporating small, hand painted watercolor depictions across the bottom of the bag.

What else is new?

We're using more than 20% less plastic in our new bags and including a barrier property that will protect the freshness of our product. We are striving to transition to a more sustainable solution, but know that this is at least a step forward. We've encountered challenges in finding compostable packaging that is both affordable and protects the quality of our product - we're still looking, and welcome any suggestions to continue evolving and improving.

We've officially gotten our Gluten-Free Certification from GFCO.

While our product was naturally gluten-free with a base of whole rolled oats from day one, we found that we were consistently getting asked at in-store demos if our product was gluten-free. You asked, so we listened!

We've also begun making our own ghee in-house to bake our granola, from the grass-fed cultured butter we source from our farm partners in the northeast.

And what is ghee, you may ask?

Ghee Grass-fed

It's a lactose-free clarified butter known for its nutritional properties, traditionally used in Ayurvedic practices. We simmer the butter until it turns into a golden brown, and strain out the milk solids. It's an extra step to our process, but we believe it's well worth it.

But don't worry, we've got the same, delicious buttery flavor that's signature to our granola.

We had one of our granola fans come to us last month expressing that we should make a carrot cake or key lime pie granola. We kept it in the back of our minds for the last month and a half. Intrigued, we finally decided to take it into our innovation lab.
